A two-week remodel across the main floor and lower level — working around existing conditions and a tight schedule, finished to Level 5 for the high-visibility clinic environment.

JD Gruba Construction brought us in through Keystone for a full remodel of Gruba Dentistry — a working clinic in White Bear Lake — across both the main floor and the lower level. The schedule was tight: two weeks from the day we started to the day the clinic needed clean, finished walls ready for paint.
What made it tricky wasn't the scope itself, it was the existing conditions. Remodels almost always reveal something the prints didn't show — out-of-plumb framing, surprise plumbing chases, ceilings that aren't where you expected them to be. The crew worked through those conditions in real time without losing the schedule, and finished the walls to a Level 4 standard the clinic could open back up to.
Our scope on Gruba Dentistry covered drywall hang across both floors, taping and finishing, sheetrock returns at the windows, a Level 5 skim coat throughout, and sanding for paint prep. Level 5 was the right call here — dental clinics have bright clinical lighting, glossy paint, and patients who spend a long time staring at the walls and ceilings from a chair. Any imperfection in the surface would have shown.
